Step-by-Step Instructions to Knit a Messy Bun Beanie
1. Cast On and Start Knitting
- Set up your circular knitting machine with your yarn.
- Cast on stitches working on tube mode with waste yarn
- Knit 4 rows with waste yarn
- Knit in the round for about 40 rows or 20 cm / 8 inches

2. Casting off Messy bun from knitting machine
- After reaching the desired height, cast off the stitches using another color yarn and a tapestry needle
- Cut your working yarn and leave a long tail to Single crochet later.

3. Binding off stitches and making the ribbing
- Starting on the 1st loop remove 1 stitch from the waste yarn and open it for 6 rows, working on the Wrong side, remake the stitches the other way around so instead of a purl stitch you will have a knit stitch inside.
- Bind off this stitch together with the next knit stitch, bind off the next stitch and repeat remaking the 3rd stitch for 6 rows.
- Close the last loop with a Slip stitch in the 1st stitch.

3. Create the Opening for the Sentro Messy Bun
- Grab a crochet hook and take it through each stitch below the waste yarn rows.
- Attach a new thread and slip stitch into each knitted loop to bind off all stitches.
- Remove the waste yarn.
- Place the elastic band behind the work and make SC stitches to cover it. Make 1 SC to each St. and slip stitch to close the project.
